Audrey Marie (Adami) Shea

SHEA, Audrey M. (88), passed away on March 11, 2008. Audrey was a long time resident of South Pasadena and San Marino prior to moving to Laguna Hills. Audrey was born in Minneapolis, Minn, on July 9, 1919. Audrey was a graduate of Saint Mary's University in South Bend, Indiana across the lake from University of Notre Dame.

She was the beloved wife for 59 years of Patrick R. Shea, Notre Dame Graduate class of 1939. Audrey and Patrick moved to California in the mid-forties where Patrick was a long time executive of the Southern California Gas Company. Audrey (the best Mom) is survived by her five loving children, Joan Poland, Terry Shea, Kevin Shea, Carol Gomez and Brian Shea. Audrey has seven granddaughters, Jenny Morales, Allie Shea, Emily Shea, Stephanie Gomez, Shea Gomez, Sheridan Gomez and Sidney Gomez and a grandson, Anthony Gomez.

Audrey also has two great-grandchildren, Alex Morales Jr. and Audrey Iris Morales. Audrey was first and foremost a devoted mother and wife focusing her attention on her family at all times. Audrey was true to her calling of always being active. She was a dedicated and steadfast campaigner in the early and mid-sixties.

She was a very dedicated participant in her children's PTA activities and remained active on school boards. Audrey spent many years very heavily involved in a charity thrift shop organization in San Clemente and was involved with several activities at the Wellington including serving as the custodial librarian. Life without Audrey will never be the same and she will always be remembered in our thoughts and in our prayers. She will be sorely missed. There will be a memorial service held in her honor at the Wellington on Tuesday, March 18th, at 2:00 p.m.

Also, there will be a Memorial Mass held at Holy Family Catholic Church in South Pasadena on Friday, April 4th, at 11:30 a.m.
