Marie C. (Young) Niebauer

Marie C. Niebauer, 65, of 174 E. Cleveland, Roseland, died at 9:02 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was a mathematics teacher at Nuner Elementary School and Clay High School before retiring in 1963.

Born on Jan. 23, 1911, in South Bend, she had lived here all her life.

On Sept. 3, 1938, in South Bend, she married Frederick C. Niebauer, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Christina, at home, and a son, Charles of Goshen.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholle Church. Rev. Martin C. Rini, C.S.C., assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31 N., where a wake prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Niebauer was a member of Christ the King Church, the Roseland Women's Club, the Roseland Citizens Association, the Michiana Rock and Gem Club, the Michiana China Painters Club and was a past president of the St. Joseph County Home Extension Club.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart Fund
