Vergene Zella (Young) MacGregor

Vergene Zella MacGregor, 88, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000. at Four Comers Health Care Center in Durango. CO. Mrs. MacGregor was bom January 23, 1912, in Villa Grove, IL, the daughter of Claude and Ethel (Stradley) Young. She graduated from Central High School in South Bend, IN, in 1926. She was active in local theatre and volunteer groups.

She married Ronald E. MacGregor in 1936 in South Bend.

She moved to Kansas City. MO, in 1958, and was active there in church and volunteer work. She and her husband retired to Tucson in 1965 and then moved to Colorado in 1990. After her husband's death in 1989 she lived with her son and his family.

She is survived by a son, Ronald J. MacGregor, Bayfield, CO, and his wife, Mildred Blanche MacGregor; brothers, Merle Young, Tucson, AZ. and William Young, Phoenix, AZ. three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren
