Helen A. (Roach) Cholis

Helen A. Cholis, 75, of Healthwin Hospital, died at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday in the hospital. Mrs. Cholis was teacher at the former Central a High School for four years. She was born May 19, 1910, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 13, 1939, in South Bend, as Helen Roach, she married Nicholas P. Cholis, who survives with a son, Paul T. of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a brother, William Roach of Philadelphia.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday St. Joseph Catholic Church. Buriin al will be at Cedar Grove CemeFriends may call from 3 to 5 tery. and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home.

She was a member of the church and was one of the founders of St. Joseph County Humane Society. She was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
