SOUTH BEND Services for Joseph Michael Kroll, 77, of 1344 E. Donald St., who died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday in his home, will be a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Kroll retired in 1977 as a purchasing agent for Martin Machine Co. after 37 years of service. He was born Sept. 22, 1911, in South Bend and had been a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 29, 1941, in South Bend, he married Justine O. Weller, who survives. Also surviving are „two sons, Gregory M. at home and Mark C. of South Bend; three grandchildren; four sisters, Harriet Kroll, Wanda Kroll, Etta Scholz and Rita Wleklinski, all of South Bend; and two brothers, Matthew of Orange Vail, Calif., and Leo of LaPorte.
