PORT CLINTON - Claude C. Cook, 86, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday at Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor. He was born in Culver, Ind., to William E. and Maude M. (Hand) Cook.

He married Helen Hennion on March 29, 1932. Mr. Cook was a design engineer for the Bendix Corporation working on military aircraft projects. He was also the zoning and building inspector for Catawba Island Township from 1981 until 1991.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; sons, William R., Rodgers, Ark.; C. Joe, Yorkville, Ill.; George E., Id.; daughter, Judith M. Oleksa, Port Clinton; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and brother, Edwin Cook, South Bend, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Cook, and sister, Lucille Bernhardt.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Neidecker-LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Burial will be at Catawba Island Cemetery.
