Sander Jerry DeVries

Sander J. DeVries, 88, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11. on the birthday of his only child. Sander was born on Aug. 13. 1910, In South Bend, Ind., to the late Fannie and Sander DeVries.

Sander was married to Bernice Miller In South Bend on April 16, 1935. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Jean Glenton; and three grandchildren, Greg Glenton, Deborah Seager, and Pamela Nix; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Cook and Frances Wheeler; and brother, William DeVries.

Sander was employed as a technician with AT&T for 40 years, retiring in September 1975. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of South Bend.

There was no visitation.
