Lloyd Stanley Rerick

CASSOPOLIS - Lloyd Rerick, 52, Rt. 4, Shore Acres, Diamond Lake, died early today when he was thrown from his car and was crushed when it rolled on him on M-62 near Memorial Park four miles northwest of here.

Rerick's auto missed a sharp S turn and his car plunged into a ditch where it overturned several times. Deputies Daniel Behrman and David Markle said the Rerick auto apparently was traveling at too fast a speed for the turn and it went off the blacktopped highway onto the berm, then veered across the road to roll over.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery also Cassopolis. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Friday.

CASSOPOLIS - Funeral services for Lloyd S. Rerick, 52, Diamond Lake, who was killed Thursday in an auto accident along M-62 between Cassopolis and Dowagiac, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Connelly Funeral Home Cassopolis. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday.

He was born in South Bend April 15, 1912. He married Aileen Glaser Feb. 17, 1937, in South Bend. He came to the Cassopolis area 12 years ago. He was a supervisor in production control at the Bendix Corp.

Surviving are his widow; his son, Bruce, a student at Iowa State University, Ames; two daughters, Katha and Charlene, both at home; his father, Leon H. Rerick, and his brother, Kenneth, both of South Bend. He was a member of South Bend Elks Lodge No. 235 and of the South Bend Turners Club, and the Bendix Supervisors Club.
