Dr Adelma Evelyn Mooth

Dr. Adelma E Mooth, 93, formerly of 3102 Yanceyville St. died at Evergreens Nursing Home on November 24, 2005.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Mooth was born in Chicago, Ill.

She was retired Dean and Professor of Nursing and Proffer of Nursing at Arkansas State University. Dr. Mooth graduated from University of Chicago and received her Doctor in Education from the Teacher's College, Columbia University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Kappa Delta Pi and Pi Lambda Theta. Dr. Mooth was named the 2002 volunteer of the year for Muscular Dystrophy Association. She also volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Rudolph Mooth.

Dr. Mooth is survived by her nephew Tom Mooth and his wife Linda; her niece Karen Harllee; great-niece Cathy Nessum and husband John and sister-in-law Barbra Mooth.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Monday at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home.
