Ellen L. (Laffoon) Elliott

SOUTH BEND Ellen L. Elliott, 72, of 2214 Hollywood Place, died at 9:55 p.m. Aug. 20, at her home. 

Born Feb. 24, 1913, in Jasonville, she was the daughter of William Oscar and Betty (Preecs) Laffoon. A member of the People's Church in South Bend, she was a retired employee of Robertson's Department Store.

On April 9, 1939 she married Randall K. Elliott, of Knox County, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Randall D. Elliott and Larry K. Elliott, both of South Bend. Other survivors include one sister, Edna Britton of South Bend, and three brothers, Harry Laffoon of Mishawaka, Robert Laffoon of South Bend, and David Laffoon of Plymouth. Four grandchildren also survive,

One sister and one brother preceded her in death.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Welsheimer Funeral Home with the Rev. James Campbell officiating. Entombment followed in Riverview Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Jerald Long, Norman Harting, and Robert, Marvel, Herschell and Earl Elliott
