Marguerite (Helling) Thilman

Marguerite Thilman, 74, of St. Joseph's Tower, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday in her home. She retired from Madison Drugs in 1980 after 15 years of service. She was born Oct. 11, 1912, in St. Joseph County, and lived in the area all her life.

In 1935, she married Edmund B. Thilman. He died in 1965.

Surviving are four sons, John V. of Killeen, Texas, Edmund B. Jr. of Chesterton, Michael J. of Elkhart and James P. of Redondo Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Pauline Yandl, Mary Lucas and Ann Snyder, all of South Bend, and Evelyn Nau of Hammond.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, where the rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. by St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

She was a member of the church and the Altar Society
