Alden Clair Balmer

SOUTH BEND - Alden C. Balmer, 78, of Laurel Wood Court, died at 10:28 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was a retired commercial artist. Born Dec. 3, 1912, in South Bend, he was a lifelong resident.

Surviving are a son, Alden M. of New Brighton, Minn.

Mr. Balmer was a World War II Navy veteran.

Services will be at a later date. Cremation will take place. McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, is in charge of arrangements.
