Nellie (Boggs) Swartz

Nellie Boggs Swartz, 68, of 2026 Inglewood, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., following a brief illness.

She was the former owner of the Billie, Boggs Business Service. Mrs. Swartz was born on Sept. 20, 1910, in New Carlisle and lived in this area all her life.

In 1962, in St. Joseph, Mich., she married Lester L. Swartz, who survives. Also surviving are a stepson, Dan Swartz of Brooklyn, N. Y.; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Yaw and Mrs. Martha Dodson, both of Niles, Mrs. Rose Rotzien and Mrs. Esther Sands, both of Buchanan, and two brothers, Paul and Wilbur Boggs, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, with Rev. Gregory T. Stevens, pastor of the Portage United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
