Lillian Russell (Williams) Peters

SOUTH BEND - Services for Lillian Peters, 94, formerly of 718 S. 30th St., who died at 10:30 p.m. Friday in Countryside Place Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home and an hour before services Monday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, of which she was a lifetime member.

Mrs. Peters was born May 12, 1896, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 30, 1916, in St. Joseph, as Lillian Williams, she married August H. Peters. He died in 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice Irene Chapla of South Bend and Donna Jean Culp of Mishawaka; four children; and two great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Central High School.
