Ethel M. (Hewitt) Reaves

Ethel M. Reaves, 921 East Washington avenue, died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph hospital after an illness of one year. She was born in Schenectady, N. Y., Feb. 23, 1896, and came here 50 years ago.

She was married in South Bend, Oct. 19, 1917 Howard E. Reaves, who survives. Also surviving, are five children, Mrs. Mrs. Victor Bowering, Mrs. Allen Cook, Miss Judith M., all of South Bend, and Howard M.. Spokane, Washington; her mother, Mrs. Emma J. Hewitt, South Bend; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth H. Hewitt of Holland, Mich.

Friends may call in the Orvis funeral home after 7 p. m. today until funeral services there at 10 a. Saturday. The body will be mated in the Oakwood cemetery, Chicago, and returned to South Bend for interment in Highland cemetery.
