Freda (Veach) Smith

SMITH - Services for Mrs. Freda Smith, 59, of 19694 Rolling Acres Dr., will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Cathedral of St. James, with Rev. Richard A. Curtis, canon, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Welsheimer Funeral Home after noon Monday. She died 11:35 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks.

She was born Sept. 24, 1907; in Logansport. She lived here the last 47 years, coming from Kokomo.

She was married Feb. 11, 1950, to Charles A. Smith, who survives. Also surviving are her father, Charles W. Veach of Marion, Ind.; two sons, B. Paul Weaver of San Diego, Calif., and C. Dana Weaver of Michigan City; a daughter, Mrs. Barry High of Hammond; seven grandchildren; a brother, Charles D. Veach of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Cogburn, of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Robert Fitzgerald of Hamden, Conn., and Mrs. John T. Rupe of South Bend
