Gerald M. Chichester, 74, of 729 S. Falcon St., died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in his home.
He was retired as an electrical engineer from the Indiana and Michigan Electric Co.. He was born Sept. 8, 1909, in Parkersburg, Va., and lived in South Bend for 62 years, coming from Parkersburg.
In 1938, in South Bend, he married Frances Mezzei, who died in 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Chichester of South Bend; a son, Geoffery Chichester of South Bend; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, and cremation will follow at Michiana Crematory. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
