Don Stanton Bloomfield

NAPPANEE - Don S. Bloomfield, 88, of 15 Boulder Court, died at 3:22 p.m. Monday in Elkhart General Hospital after an illness. Mr. Bloomfield retired in 1968 from Nappanee Milling Co. and was employed at Coppes Kitchens. He was born Sept. 28, 1907, in Hancock, Mich., and had resided in the Nappanee area since 1945.

On March 26, 1938, in Nappanee, he married Virginia Coppes. She survives with a daughter, Beth Yoder of Nappanee; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was a former elder, and a former member of the Noon Kiwanis.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Thompson & Yoder Funeral Home and one hour before services Thursday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
