James A. Archambeault Sr

James A. Archambeault Sr., 59, of 143 Manchester Dr., a Mishawaka businessman and lifetime resident of this area, died Tuesday night in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, shortly after his arrival there in a private ambulance.
Born in South Bend on Dec. 20, 1908, he was assistant secretary of the Mishawaka Lath and Plaster Co., 1011 W. 11th St., for about two years. Previously he had been associated with Corlett Allied Building Center, 400 S. West St., for many years and was part owner of that company until 1963.
Mr. Archambeault married Lorena Waldron in Niles on Oct. 15, 1938. She survives along with a son, James A. Archambeault Jr., at home; a daughter, Jean A. Archambeault, a student at Indiana State University, Terre Haute; one brother, Clarence Archambeault of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Fisher of Cassopolis.
Mr. Archambeault was a major in the Army Engineer Corps during World War II. He was a member of Mishawaka Post 360, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and South Bend Post 303, American Legion.
