SOUTH BEND Ladore "Cy" Warstler, 85, of 2509 Club Drive, died at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Mr. Warstler retired in 1971 from Bendix Corp. as a general foreman after 41 years of service. He was born Oct. 22, 1908, in Muncie. Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1921, coming from Milford.

On Dec. 8. 1929, in South Bend, he married Ruth Elizabeth Jones. She survives, with a son, Robert of South Bend: two grandchildren; two great grandchildren, three brothers, Irvin of South Bend, David of Henning. Minn.. and Robert of South Venice. Fla.

He was active in Boy Scouts of America Tri-Valley Council, Mishawaka charter member and educational chairman of the executive board of American Society or Quality Control South Bend-Mishawaka Section 1005, member of American Society of Quality Control, Masonic Lodge 130, Mishawaka, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, and Bendix Management Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in St. Granger. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Twin Branch Bible Church. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
