Solomon Gifford Nowlin. 57, Blaine Ave., died at 10:40 114 p.m. Sunday in a hospital New Castle, Ind., after an illness of one year. A retired Studebaker Corp. employee, he was born on Aug. 3, 1907, in South Bend.
Surviving are two brothers, Eugene of South Bend and Williard of San Jose. Calif., and sister. Miss Bernetta of South Send.
