Evelyn (Moller) Tannehill

SPRINGFIELD - Private memorial services are planned for Evelyn M. Tannehill of Springfield, who died Jan. 17 at the age of 86. She was born Oct. 7, 1908, in South Bend, Ind., to Gustav and Esther Gustafson Moller.
She married Frank Tannehill on June 27, 1931, in South Bend. The couple moved to Springfield from Claremont, Calif., in 1991. Tannehill was a musician, educated at the Chicago Conservatory of Music. She worked as a piano teacher and as a minister of music. In 1968, she conducted the World Council of Church Choirs in Toronto.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springfield and had served as chapter president of the Mu Phi Epsilon in Pasadena, Calif.
Survivors include her husband; her daughter, Jayne Williams of Eugene; a brother, Donald Moller of New York City; a sister, Kathryn Warfield of Southfield, Mich.; and one grandchild.
Inurnment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Eugene.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Springfield. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements
