Evangeline (Ludlum) Carlson

Evangeline "Eva" Carlson, 8 80, of 1233 Altgeld St., died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday in Medco Center. Mrs. Carlson was office manager at the former White House Manufacturing Co. She was born April 7, 1908, in Marion, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of her life.
In 1930, in South Bend, as Eva Ludlum, she married Carl M. Carlson, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Suzanne LaBrash of Mishawaka; a son, Rev. Carl R. of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Roberta Meyers of South Bend and Emma Seiser of Detroit.
She was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church and the Progress Club and was a former Campfire Girl leader. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Entombment will be at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
