W. Hollis Inwood

W. Hollis Inwood, 80, of 19624 Oakdale Ave., died at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Meridian Health CareCardinal. He retired in 1972 from the Bendix Corp, after 35 years of service.

Mr. Inwood was born Sept. 1, 1906, in South Bend and lived in the area all of his life. On Aug, 13, 1927, in South Bend, he married Marjorie S. Thompson. She died May 13 of this year.

Surviving are a son, Robert H. of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, where Masonic memorial services will be at 7 p.m.

He was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, charter and 50-year member of 787 Order of DeMolay, 50-year member of 294 F & AM, a member Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Avalon Grotto, a charter member and past president of Michiana Kennel Club, and he served two terms as president of Bendix Square and Compass.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Masonic Home.
