Erma Elizabeth (Hicks) LaFortune

Funeral mass for Mrs. Fred J. (Erma Elizabeth) LaFortune, wife of the manager of national accounts in the liquified petroleum marketing division of Warren Petroleum Corp. is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Madalene Church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Fitzgerald's Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. LaFortune, 60, died Thursday morning at the family home at 2322 S. Columbia Place, apparently from a heart attack.
She had not appeared to be in ill health earlier, her husband said. LaFortune is a brother of Tulsa oilman-philanthropist Joseph A. LaFortune, and an uncle of City Street Commissioner Robert J. LaFortune. Mrs. LaFortune had made her home here since 1932. She was a member of the Madalene Church and St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary. With her husband, she belonged to the Petroleum Club and Oaks Country Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Carl E. Wood of Bitburg, Germany, Mrs. Tom Pogue of Iowa City, Iowa, and Mrs. Wesley Harris of Lewiston, N.Y.; a brother, Marvin Hicks of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Haynes of Tampa, Fla., and seven grandchildren.
Friends are contributing to their favorite charities.
