Thelma (Deiss) Goodrick Gillis

SOUTH BEND Thelma D. Goodrick Gillis, 81, of Sycamore, Ill., formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb, Ill. Mrs. Gillis was a bookkeeper for the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, for 15 years.

She was born July 26, 1909, in South Bend and lived in Sycamore for three years.

Her first husband, John Goodrick, preceded her in death, as did her second husband, Peter Gillis Sr.

She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn McCue of Sycamore, Elizabeth Lunk of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Margaret Henneberry of Germany; two sons, William Goodrick of Orlando, Fla., and John Goodrick of Wheaton, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Martha Mary Esrig of California and Ann McCloskey of South Bend; two stepsons, Peter Gillis and Ralph Gillis, both of South Bend; 17 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several step and two sisters, Margaret Kifowit of South Bend and Audrey Mullen of Colorado.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Butala-VanNatta Funeral Home, Sycamore.

Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Chicago. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services on Friday in the funeral home
