William J. Bergan

BERGAN - Word has been received here of the death of William J. Bergan, 68, of 1331 Finley, Lombard, Ill., formerly of South Bend, Friday in Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Ill., after a brief illness. Bergan was a former Associates Corporation of North America employe and a retired Canteen Corp., Chicago, employe. Born on March 15, 1907, in South Bend, he had lived here until 1946.

His widow, the former Anne Hughes, survives. Also surviving are two brothers, Dr. Joseph of Michigan City and Paul of South Bend, and two sisters, Miss Margaret Bergan of South Bend and Mrs. Mary Mullins of Wausau, Wis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Church, Lombard. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, Ill. Friends may call from 6 to 10 p.m. today and 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday in the Blake and Lamb Funeral Home, Lombard
