FRIEDRICH Services for Carl Friedrich, 1134 E. Altgeld St., an employee of the Wheelabrator Corps, for the last 30 years, who died Friday, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew's Cathedral, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Arnold J. Wibbert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Walsh-Bilancio-Guisinger Colonial Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St.
He was born on April 27, 1905, in Pittsburgh, Pa., residing in South Bend for the last 50 years.
On Nov. 7, 1935, he married Goldie Smith, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Centa Friedrich, of South Bend; two sons, Gerald and Donald DeFreese, both of South Bend: two daughters, Mrs. Joseph C. Hoath and Mrs. Charlotte L. Chearhart, both of South Bend; nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. W. J. McCraley of South Bend.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Matthew's, Moose Lodge- 58. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
