William S. Dean

William Stover Dean, 69, died at noon Sunday in his home after an in his extended illness. Dean was a retired assistant vice president of the Associates Corp. of North America, having retired in 1968.

Born on March 6, 1907, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime.

In 1931, in Louisville, Ky., he married Eleanor Hatcher, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Andrea Morganstein of Traverse City, Mich., and Mrs. Barbara Quist of Dekalb, Ill.; two sons, Edwin R. of Alexandria, Va., and William D. of St. Peter, Minn., and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services were to be this afternoon in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church. Private burial will follow in City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Planned Parenthood World Population, 810 7th, New York, N. Y., or the Bob Dungy Fund of the First United Methodist Church. Dean was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Men's Breakfast Club of the church.
