James Walter Snyder

Snyder, James Walter, 84, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away October 17, 2002 at his residence. He was born in South Bend, IN, October 6, 1918 and was a graduate of Northwestern University and Rutgers University. He was a decorated veteran serving with the 15th Air Force, Army Air Corps in Italy during World War II. He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Ann (Kennedy) Snyder of Ft. Lauderdale; six daughters, Diane DePace and Pam Mennella, both of Atlanta, GA, Susan Fitzgerald of Boca Raton, Patti Webster and Kathy Snyder, both of Ft. Lauderdale, and Karen Cunningham of Deerfield Beach. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and a brother, Rick Snyder of South Bend, IN.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 7 PM with a Service of Remembrance to be held at 7:00 PM. Rev. Robert Sands will officiate.
