Albert Joseph Sipotz

Albert J. Sipotz, 97, passed away at 8:05pm Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Memorial Hospital. Albert was born on April 11, 1918 in South Bend to Joseph and Mary (Witucki) Sipotz.

He retired from Bendix where he was employed for 42 years. Albert was a World War II Army / Air Force Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 50 and the Bendix Salary Retirees. On April 15, 1939 in South Bend he married the former Marianna Munro. She died on January 1, 2003. Albert was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Josephine Szabo and Virginia Palatin and a brother George Sipotz.

Surviving are two sons Michael (Susan) Sipotz of Mishawaka and James Sipotz of Osceola, four grandchildren Stacy (Scott) Sipotz-Bucic, Brian (Kelly) Sipotz, Meghan Sipotz and Taylor Sipotz, five great-grandchildren Dhane Sipotz, Ben Bucic, Braden Bucic, Cole Sipotz, and Cooper Sipotz and a niece Jeanne Ray.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00pm Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge.
