Margaret Lucille (Flowers) Hull

Margaret Lucille Hull, 86, born Feb.15, 1918, in South Bend, Ind., passed away Tuesday, May 4, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She married Herb, the boy across the street and lifelong love in 1938, celebrating their 65th anniversary in November.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Levi Flowers, and sister, Ruth Perry.
Living in River Park, she graduated from Nuner and Central High School where she excelled in academics and sports. She spent many summers with family and friends at Pleasant Lake, Edwardsburg, Mich., at a cottage built by her father. Margaret was devoted to her family and had no greater joy than being together in family gatherings.
Surviving members: her husband, Herb Hull of South Bend; her daughter, Elizabeth (Noel) Atkinson of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sons, James L.(Suzanne) Hull and Thomas (Christine) Hull, both of Bloomington, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Rhonda (Lyle) Sanders, Darin (Erin) Atkinson, Ethan (Lynn) Hull, Caleb Hull, Gabriel Hull, Michaela Hull and Parker Hull; and three great- grandchildren, Brianna Sanders, Megan Sanders and Olivia Atkinson.
Private graveside services will be held Friday, May 7, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to the YWCA of St. Joseph County, 802 N. Lafayette Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601;or to the charity of choice. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, is assisting the family with arrangements
