Helen Marian (Essington) Bull

Mar 3, 1919 - Jun 26, 2011

Helen Marian Essington Bull died of a massive stroke at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto without regaining consciousness on Sunday, June 26, 2011. She leaves behind her grieving husband, Warren Bull, to whom she had been very happily married for 59 years and seven months. Both were looking forward to their 60th wedding anniversary in November. Both her loving husband and her daughter, Susie Taylor, were with her when she died. Her son, Richard Bull, was returning to his home in Ripon from Sacramento when he received the call from the hospital.

Helen is also survived by five loving granddaughters and a loving grandson.

Her oldest daughter, Patty Paterson, and her grandson, Scott Taylor, preceded her in death.

She was a wonderful, loving wife to Warren and a loving and delightful mother and grandmother to her three children, seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

She was born in Noblesville, Indiana, the youngest daughter of John and Myrtle. Essington and was later married there. She grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She was the Director of Home Services for Omar Inc. for seven years until she left to marry Warren. Helen was a devout Christian all her life, passing on her faith and love for God to her children and grandchildren.

At her request, her graveside service was held privately with family only in attendance.
