SOUTH BEND - Ferdinand J. DeClerck, 76, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, formerly of North Kenmore Street, died at 5 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's. Mr. DeClerck was born Nov. 4, 1918, in St. Charles, Ill. to Richard and Alida (Coopert) DeClerck and lived most life in the South Bend area.

On Oct. 9, 1943, in South Bend, he married Dorothy Van De Sampele who preceded him in death Oct. 9, 1995. He is survived by a sister, Madiline Hollenback of Indianapolis and a sister-in-law, Gabriella Mynsberge of Arlington, Va.

Mr. DeClerck retired 'as a machinist from the Bendix Corp. in 1975 after 46 years service and was affiliated, with his wife, for many years with the Wygant Floral Co.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend. A Rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. on Monday
