Marguerite (Wishing) Widowski Wharton

SOUTH BEND - Services for Marguerite W. Widowski, 79, of Frederickson St., who died at 5:32 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8pm Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive where the rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Sunday by members of the St. John's Rosary Sodality. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Widowski retired as secretary from the Bendix Corp., where she was employed for 20 years.

She was born May 7, 1916, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. In 1949, in South Bend, as Marguerite W. Wishing, she married Eugene Wharton. He died Aug. 20, 1956. In 1968, in South Bend, she married Steve L. Widowski. He died Aug. 11, 1987.

Surviving are a companion, Frank Shidler of Goshen; a daughter, Pam Ganser of Arlington, Texas; a step daughter, Barbara Kruszewski of South Bend; a stepson, Arthur Widowski of Los Angeles; a grand daughter; a step grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John's Retirees Club and the Rosary Sodality of the church, Hoosier Grandmother's Club, and Bendix Retirees Club
