William Edward White

BUCHANAN — William Edward White, 56, of 106 South Detroit street, Buchanan, died Tuesday morning at his home. Mr. White had resided in Buchanan 20 years, coming from South Bend. He was employed as an engineer for Clark Equipment Company, Buchanan. He was a national officer for the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Surviving are his widow, the former Margaret Grundy; a son Thomas of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. James (Elizabeth Ann) Gireich of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Mrs. Ronald (Virginia) Ranck of Grand Rapids; his stepmother, Mrs. Ruby P. White; a brother, Jack White and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Smith, all of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Swem-Smith funeral home, Buchanan. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday.
