Mary Elmira (Wasoski) Waldorf

Mary Waldorf, 89, passed away of natural causes on Friday.

A native of Indiana, Mary was a resident of Vallejo for more than 30 years. She began her nursing career in Indiana and worked for 35 years in many different locations including Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo and Sacramento.

She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church, and the Business and Professional Women in Vallejo and West Sacramento.

Her first love was her family. She enjoyed knitting, reading and cooking for family gatherings. After retiring in 1978, she took courses at the Vallejo Senior Center and enjoyed ceramics, needle punch, writing poetry and playing mah jong.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Waldorf Sr.; brothers, Walter, Carl, Lester and Robert Wasoski; sister Jane Ward; and grandson Ronnie Rieckhoff.
