Geraldine E. (Walsh) Snelling
July 9, 1917 - May 6, 2011

MISHAWAKA - Geraldine E. Snelling, 93, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2011. Born July 9, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Marion (Torok) Walsh.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Snelling; sisters, Marjorie Horn, Mary Kay Shoemaker, Helen Kronewitter, Genevieve Berger, Betty Walsh and Evelyn Walsh; and by a brother, Patrick Walsh.

Geraldine is survived by her nieces, Judy Filley of Vandalia, MI, Jeri Devlin of Albian, MI, and Joyce Bernas and Carol Romero, both of South Bend; nephews, Reginald Horn of Pawleys Island, SC, Robert Kronewitter of Denver, CO, Craig and Mike Berger, both of Chicago, and Alan Walsh of Pedro, OH; and special friends, Dan and Marylen Robinson, Irene Robinson and Ted Robinson.

She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend.

Friends may visit Friday, May 13th, in the McGann Hay, University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., with a memorial service being held at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Center for Hospice Care.
