Doris G. (Taylor) Peli

Doris G. Peli, 67, of 3625 Rainbow Drive, died at 9:47 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper of the Lomax Accounting Firm. Born July 17, 1917, in Washington, D.C., she had lived in this area most of her life.
On Aug. 27, 1943, in South Bend, she married Kenneth C. Sickafoose, who died in 1968.
In 1969, she married James Peli, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Candace Sibly of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; four grandchildren; a sister, Muerle L. Satkowski of South Bend; four stepchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be a memorial service today at 3 p.m., given by the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 50.
Mrs. Peli was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 50, and a graduate of Central High School.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
