Richard Herman Suabedissen

MIDDLESEX - Richard H. Suabedissen, 87, of Middlesex passed away Friday (Jan. 21, 2005) at his home with his family by his side. He was born South Bend, Ind., and lived in Joliet, Ill., and Erie, Pa., before moving to Middlesex in 1961. He was a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1939.
Richard worked for 36 years with GAF in South Bound Brook and Wayne. He retired in 1982. He was the technical director of the Foothill Playhouse on the corner of Beechwood and Orcharch streets in Middlesex. Richard liked to play golf and do woodworking, where he built many pieces of furniture and other usable items. He also loved photography.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gertrude (Thibideau); his two sons, Guy of Piscataway and Gary of Bordentown; his brother, Raymond of Niles, Mich.; his grandchildren, Ronald, Mark, Lee, Kyra and Karl; and his three great-grandchildren, Mark Robert, Sean and Nicole.
Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex.
