Curtis Raymond Shook

Curtis Raymond Shook, 2602 Larch Way, died at 10:30 a. m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital after a year's illness. He was born in Beloit, Wis. June 10, 1917, and came here in 1923 from Lansing, Mich.

He was formerly employed in the purchasing department of Bendix Products Division of the Bendix Aviation Corp., and more recently in that department the Wheelabrator Corp, in Mishawaka.

He was married here in 1944 to Barbara Waid, who survives. Surviving also are his father, Ray C. Shook, of South Bend; two children, Judith Ann and John Curtis, at home, and brother, Howard B. Shook of Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was a member of South Bend Lodge 235, Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended Purdue University, Lafayette, Ind., and the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of Theta Chi fraternity at Purdue.

Friends may call after 7 p. m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home where the funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Kenneth R. Hemphill, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
