Evalyne Halasz

SOUTH BEND - Evalyne Halasz, 95, of Plano, TX, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully October 16, 2013. Born September 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rosenbaum.
She married Theodore Halasz in July 1937. He preceded her in death in 1986. Evalyne is survived by her children, Gerald (Maxine) Halasz of Centerville, OH, Don (Helene) Halasz of Plano, TX, Howard (Betty) Halasz of Houston, TX, and Bayla Kolton (Edward) of Lake Hiawatha, NJ. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, their spouses, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Evalyne was also preceeded in death by her brother, Irving Rosenbaum.
Evalyne was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother. For many years she worked in the family business in South Bend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013, at 11:30 AM at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN. Services will be conducted by Rabbi Karen Bodney Halasz.
