SOUTH BEND - DeVearl L. Quier, 75, of 745 S. Warren St., died at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Michiana Community Hospital. Mr. Quier retired in 1979 from the parts department of South Bend Range Corp.
He was born Nov. 6, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
On May 23, 1945, in South Bend, he married Margaret E. Sohlke. She died Nov. 12, 1989. He is survived by a brother, Herman of South Bend; and a brother -inlaw, Carl Sohlke of South Bend.
There will be no services or visitation. The body has been donated to the Anatomical Board of Indianapolis. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
