Leonard P. Pastrick

MISHAWAKA Leonard P. "Duke" Pastrick, 75, of 55566 Grape Road, died Saturday at 9:45 a.m. in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He retired in 1970 from the South Bend Police Department, following 25 years of service.

He was born Dec. 26, 1916, in St. Joseph. He lived in the area all of his life.

On June 20, 1976, in South Bend, he married Sally Parent-DeLanghe. She survives with a stepdaughter, Katherine Case of Santa Clara, Calif.: a son, Wayne P. of Mendon; four grandchildren; a sister, Frieda Stack of Fort Myers, Fla.; two stepsisters, Irene Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Rita Apt of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Alford of Lenexa, Kan.; and a stepbrother, Irvin Zellmer of South Bend.

He was a member of American Legion, FOP 36, and a World War II Army veteran.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Cremation will take place
