Julius James Musick nee Muszik

Julius J. (Jukes) Musick, 55, of 1985 Riverside Dr., died at 6 p.m. Thursday in Healthwin Hospital after a lengthy illness. The former owner of the Surgical Supply Co., he was a member of the St. Joseph County Board of Health and former inspector for the Health Department.

In 1958, he was a Democratic candidate for St. Joseph County sheriff. He was born on Dec. 1, 1913, in South Bend and had lived here all of his life.

On Oct. 4, 1941, he married Loretta Bannon, who survives, along with a son, Gregory, of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Borgman of Ann Arbor, and the Misses Mary and Julie, both at home; a grandchild; a brother, Paul Muszik, of South Bend; and three sisters Mrs. Helen Muszik Sieron of Park Forest, Ill., Mrs. Theresa Voorde of South Bend, widow of Mayor Edward F. Voorde, and Mrs. Frances Muszik Eckenrode of Harrisburg, Pa.

Friends may call in the McGann Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Richard J. Kennedy, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.

Mr. Musick was a member of the St. Patrick's Church ushers club.
