Albert Alphonse Meuleman

Albert A. Meuleman, 80, of Adams Street, South Bend, Ind., died following a lengthy illness at 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. Mr. Meuleman retired from the MacDonald Dairy (formerly Reliable Dairy) as a driver and salesman. He was born on Aug. 18, 1917, in South Bend, to Remi and Lucina (Taverneir) Meuleman, and was a lifetime area resident.

On Nov. 26, 1941, in South Bend, he married Alice M. Lekens, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Catherine (Wayne) Bishop of South Bend; three sons, John (Gail) Meuleman of Duxbury, Mass., Paul Meuleman of East Swanzey, N.H., and Philip (Ann) Meuleman of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Robin, Keri Ann, David, Brian, Steven, Sarah and Matthew Meuleman, and Anthony and Jeffrey Bishop; and by a sister, Anna (Leo) Nowicki of South Bend.

Mr. Meuleman was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he served as a cantor a and Eucharistic minister, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and he served in the United States Army during World War II.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Holy
