William F. McInerny Sr.

Nov. 1, 1917 - March 9, 1993

SOUTH BEND William F. Mcinerny Sr., 75, of North Riverside Drive, formerly of East Colfax Avenue, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Mcinerny retired as an attorney with Chapleau, Roper, Mcinerny & Farabaugh.

He was born Nov. 1, 1917, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 4, 1951, in South Bend, he married Alice L. Hoover. She survives with two daughters, Ann Dolan of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Amy L. Cassidy of South Bend; two sons, William F. Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., and Daniel P. of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and a sister, Martha E. Mcinerny of South Bend.

He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, member of Father J.A. Nieuwland General Assembly and Santa Maria Council 553, both of Knights of Columbus, Indiana Bar Association and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was past president of St. Joseph County Bar Association and was a veteran of World War II.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road.
