Services for Donald F. Mathis, 69, of Grand Blanc, Mich., formerly of South Bend, who died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Blessed Sacrament Parish, Flint, Mich., of which he was a member. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Blanc Senior Center.

Mr. Mathis was a retired General Motors Corp. employee. He was born April 27, 1918, in South Bend.

On Feb. 27, 1937, in Flint, he married Ardis Schiestel, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Barbara Blanchard of Burton, Mich., Connie Montpas and Susan Baroski both of Grand Blanc, and Katherine Harris of Woodridge, Va.; a son, Jim Mathis of Gaines, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marianne Ritter of Mishawaka; and a brother, Michael Mathis of South Bend.

He was a member of the Grand Blanc Senior Citizens and Local 1292 of the United Auto Workers union.
