Harry E. Laffoon, 69, of 815 W. Douglas Road, died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday in his home after an illness.
He retired in 1975 after 35 years at Tucker Freight Lines, South Bend, where he was a truck driver. Born Aug. 3, 1916, in Van Lear, Ky., he lived here since 1929, coming from Sullivan, Ind.
On June 6, 1936, in South Bend, he married Ada E. Niese, who survives with a daughter, Kathy A., of Fort Wayne; two sons, James E. of Kansas City, Mo., and Ronald N. of Felton, Calif.; four grandchildren; a sister, Edna Britton of South Bend; and two brothers, Robert E. of South Bend and David E. of Plymouth,
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tues: day at Bubb Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. He was a charter member of the People's Church in South Bend and a member of the Teamster's Retirement Club. Memorial contributions may be sent Dorcas Guild Missionary Fund of the People's Church
