Bernard F. Ladewski
ST. JOSEPH - Bernard F. Ladewskl 72, of 1215 Wolcott Ave., St. Joseph, formerly of South Bend, died at 8:50 pm. Thursday at his home after an illness. Mr. Ladewski retired in 1981 from Auto Specialties Manufacturing Co., St. Joseph, after 31 years of service.
He was bom April 10, 1915, in South Bend, and moved to SL Joseph in 1952 from South Bend. On Aug. 12, 1944, in South Bend, he married Angela' Nellie" Peculaitis, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Ted of Ann Arbor, Bruce of Lawrence and Gregory of Washington, D.C.; four granddaughters; and two brothers, Ervin of Payson, Ariz., and Clement of Sun City, Ariz.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at SL Joseph Catholic Church, SL Joseph. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, SL Joseph. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Saturday and after 2 p.m. Sunday at Keriey 4 Starks Funeral Home, St. Joseph, where a liturgical prayer will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
He was a veteran of World War II and received three bronze stars, was a charter member of Twin City Symphony and played with it for 30 years, played for Andrews University Orchestra and the South Bend Symphony, taught at South Bend Conservatory of Music and was the founder and member of Intermezzo Strings Quartet Memorial contributlons may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service, Hospice at Home, or Interlochen Chamber Music Conference.
